Gillo has coached NGOs and activists in many regions for over 15 years on various security and privacy projects. He’s currently acting as information security capacity manager for Greenpeace International and he provides information security support and trainings to a number of local and regional advocacy groups, as well as larger-sized organisations and NGO coalitions worldwide.
His collaboration with APC goes back to 2013 during the Bali IGF, followed up by a number of projects such as co-organising APC's Discotech events, information security mentorship for APC members, and support for the development of information security policies.
