Kemly Camacho

Kemly Camacho is a Central American woman who has been involved in social movements for human rights, women's struggles, the environmental movement and the social solidarity economy for more than 30 years. Her work has focused on strengthening community organizations for local development in Central America. Kemly is a computer engineer, anthropologist, has a master's degree in knowledge society and another in evaluation of development programs and projects. She has a doctorate in education with an emphasis in popular education. For more than 25 years she has been working in the construction of processes and proposals for monitoring, evaluation, learning, ecology of knowledge from the vision of the global south. Kemly is a university professor-researcher in her country.

Purpose of position

The Senior MEL Specialist holds responsibility for oversight and coordination of MEL practices and activities across the organisation, and ensures that APC is measuring and monitoring the impact of its programmes. They lead and/or support MEL initiatives with APC staff and network members, to inform impact reports to donors and partners, as well as improve programmes implementation. This position is a senior position and will work closely with the senior leadership team, providing information and advice in support of the implementation of APC's strategy.
